Prologue

Happy New Year! 2021 has come to an end and now we have flipped the page into 2022. With a new year there are always new years resolutions. In years past my resolutions have been about bettering my physical self. This year will be different so I would like to welcome you to my blog Wife of a Wandering Reporter. For those who don’t know me my name is Solomia. I am a graphic designer and new wife to my amazing husband Ryan. Ryan is a sports reporter/anchor at WTAP. I moved to the Mid-Ohio Valley a little under two years ago and got married a little over 2 months ago. We just moved into a charming house with our dog Marshmallow and are busy unpacking and making it feel like home.
A little about my professional life. I work as the Marketing Co-Director at the YMCA of Parkersburg and am a Graphic Design MFA candidate at Ohio University. In just over a week I will be starting my 4th semester, the last semester I will have a full course load. Next fall I will be working on my thesis and hopefully graduating Spring 2023.
Being the wife of a wandering reporter means I will be moving around a lot and having lots of new and exciting adventures. This blog will allow me to document this new phase of my life and I hope that you all will enjoy following along. I also want to force myself to practice writing as I have realized that as a graphic designer I do in fact have to write quite a bit. Since this is merely the prologue and I don’t want to write out my entire life history, I will leave you be and let you get on with celebrating the blank slate we have all been given with this new year. Happy New Year and may it bring us joy and hope and love.
